Our Purpose

Stemming from the original investments from Stone Soup and Greenvitalize of Worcester,Massachusetts we are looking to build our basis to provide a community aquaponics program. Werequest this grant under the necessity for materials such as tanks, power, pumps, and other varioussupplies to start off our journey towards building proficient systems. This beautiful system built in apermaculture mindset will bring many fortuitous opportunities for volunteers, community leaders, andthe community at large. Our food has come from such a processed place these days where mosturban citizens have little mind of what happens for how food gets to their plate. The intersectionalityof a project of this type brings together knowledge of many varieties as well as bringing different people from the community together in one place. Continuing their efforts, volunteers, residents, and students see firsthand how their input produces real results building a valuable sense of civic pride through advocacy. Furthermore, looking from an environmental standpoint these symbiotic systems are self-contained. There is marginal waste, ill byproduct, or chemical contaminant. Our prospective hope is to take this grant to fund our project, perfect a system, and work to provide a large established aquaponics co-op that can be duplicated across the state, the nation, and all areas where food and land is scarce.
