Great Falls Food Hub
Our Purpose
The Great Falls Food Hub connects enterprise, education, and local food infrastructure to cultivate community resilience. GFFH has three pillar working groups focused on developing local foods infrastructure for our region (Education Working Group, Food Access, and Business Development). The Education Working Group works to provide inclusive, hands-on experiential learning opportunities that expand food system knowledge and support thriving local economies. The Food Access Group is currently developing it's focus project (the current forerunner is a farm to plate initiative that will take local produce and in collaboration with Our Place Community Food Center create frozen meals for community distribution). The Business Development Group is focused on providing business supports and opportunities for exisiting and developing farm businesses and food producers. This initiative is the result of years of community conversations, organizational collaboration, feasibility studies, food system assessments, redevelopment planning efforts and economic development activities throughout the Great Falls Region.Partners have consisitently identified food system resilience, entrepreneurship support, workforce development, community ownership opportunites, and investment attraction as critical regional priorities.
