Our purpose is to educate young people about where their food comes from and how delicately ecosystems interact. Middle school students get the opportunity to see the cylical nature of life from seed germination to composting. Through this garden space students also explore the importance of conservation, organic gardening, and reducing carbon footprints. By working together, sharing thoughts and ideas, learning from mistakes, and finding success in the growth of a new plant, students are also obtaining valuable skills in collaboration and socialization.
