Gather Together United As 1 (GTUA1) is a charitable and educational not-for-profit organization that is geared towards unsheltered and at-risk individuals in the urban cores of RI. Our goal is to provide basic needs opportunities and supportive services where people with the same commonalities can gather together and achieve goals. We aim to create a safe, supportive, creative, and transparent space to equip individuals with the necessary skills and tools to improve their socioeconomic status. Our purpose is to decrease human suffering by removing barriers to care and providing economic opportunities to increase human potential. VISION:  Restore hope, rebuild the lives of the unsheltered and at-risk individuals.We formed those groups Based on Alexandrea Gonzalez's life experiences and the barriers and issues that she had to face as a homeless woman, as well as Tarshires experiences with working as a mental health professional and a single mother.  Alexandrea, and the rest of the team, has made many long-lasting relationships with the people of  Providence, Pawtucket, and Central Falls. There are hundreds of  community members, that self identifies with common issues with the homeless system and structure and process. One of our objective is to allow the homeless population in Rhode Island to have a voice and facilitate healthy spaces and places for dialogue.
