The Friends of the Malden River started as a collaborative with Mystic River Watershed Association, Tri-Community Action Plan (Tri-CAP), and Tufts University Graduate Program WSSS practicum (no longer in existence).  We collaborated on efforts to increase awareness in the buried Malden River, create a need for public access, and provide a clean and healthy river.  The Friends of the Malden River seek to promote awareness of and interest in the Malden River, improve its water quality, and increase access for public enjoyment.  We believe that our residents benefit from outdoor activities in a clean environment.  And when residents realize their treasure, our natural resources will be protected.
