To grow and sustain a coalition of neighbors and local institutions that will work toward preservation and improvement of Corliss Park. As part of our mission, we view the park as central in order to sustain a vibrant and healthy Wanskuck neighborhood. We aim to do this through a holistic and inclusive approach to community health and wellness that recognizes the importance of individuals, organizations, infrastructure, and environment. This coalition seeks engagement with Wanskuck and its neighboring communities to move forward with athletic/physical fitness, educational, and arts & culture programming for a range of age groups; capital improvements; community garden activities; neighborhood clean-ups; fundraisers; crime prevention activities; and special projects & events with various groups including Providence College and Providence Depatment of Parks and Recreation.
