The Friends of Bucklin Park (FOBP) is a network of residents in the West End neighborhood of Providence whose mission is to provide a safe and environmentally friendly urban space which promotes an active lifestyle for children in the West End community. Residents of West End formed FOBP with the primary vision of reclaiming a neighborhood space and revitalizing it for recreation and community cohesion. Over the past 2 .5years, FOBP has been very successful in organizing park clean ups & events, planting over 50 trees in the park, organizing and meeting with community leaders about neighborhood needs for the park.
