The garden received a grant in 2009 to remediate and develop a formerly vibrant community garden, now abandoned and vacant in Providence RI's West End neighborhood and turn it into an accessible, healthy, and inclusive green environment. The group seeks to provide a sustainable place that enables food security, grassroots education, and a sense of community pride.

Our Purpose
to provide a safe and healthy green environment for community members. Goals are to provide nutritious food to members of our low-income neighborhood, educate neighbors about sustainability, nutrition, and social justice, as well as engage the neighborhood in an inclusive and positive project.
