Like many African Diaspora communities, the Eritrean community in Boston faces significant challenges and prospects for transforming their lives here in the USA. Of a particular concern are those newly immigrated, that are lacking needed professional networks, language and cultural barriers, employability competencies and other capacities.  Our purpose is to support the Eritrean Community Center in its effort to alleviate some of the problems faced by people of Eritrean descent in the Boston area by offering an outlet for professional development, best practice sharing, and niche networking in a social setting for Eritrean professionals in Greater Boston. This will help to bridge the cultural and linguistic barriers and by helping its members integrate and contribute their share in the society.
