The firefighters at Ellsworth Fire Station first started gardening together in 2010, and we currently have 15 men who work regularly in the garden. Since its founding the garden quickly became a popular way to pass time during a 24-hour shift, prepare meals, spend time outdoors, and meet and interact with neighbors in the community.
