Our purpose of the Eliot Energy Commission is to promote increased energy conservation, efficiency and local energy production throughout the Town of Eliot. The Commission seeks opportunities to conserve and improve the management of municipal energy resources by exploring the feasibility of installing solar hot water, solar electricity (pv) systems and geothermal in municipal buildings, encouraging increased municipal conservation and improved usage of energy resources and establishing procedures for continued monitoring of energy use within municipal government. The Commission also works to encourage community participation in energy conservation and policies by posting energy information on the town website and acting as for citizens interested in energy conservation
