Our Purpose

The mission of the Eastern Trail Alliance is to build, maintain and promote the use of the Eastern Trail, a recreation and transportation greenway from Casco Bay in South Portland to the Piscataqua River in Kittery, Maine. We do this by inspiring individuals and private/public organizations to partner with us to support this incomparable resource through creating programs and providing a safe place for cycle commuting and recreational opportunities for all ages and abilities. The ET is the southern Maine section of the East Coast Greenway, a national developing trail system spanning 3,000 miles from Calais, Maine to Key West, Florida, linking all the major cities along the eastern seaboard.
