In 2008 the Revitalization Committee received a grant to begin the outreach phase of a design chrarette which will identify creative, practical, community-driven solutions to conditions that hinder the sustainable revitalization of Dennisport village. The comprehensive, holistic event of a charrette will prepare Dennisport and its residents for long-term viability and human and natural environmental recovery, but the charrette and the implementation of charrette results will only be successful to the extent outreach efforts successfully engage the public.
