Our Purpose

DML Mission Statement Revised by Board of Trustees  March 2, 2016: With support from the citizens of the Towns of Derby, Morgan, Holland and Charleston, and surrounding communities, the Dailey Memorial Library provides a free, voluntarily supported Public Library and Community Center. Its first mission is the promotion of knowledge and understanding by providing access to information, whether in written, graphic or digital form.  Equally important is its role as a community hub to promote literacy, sponsor cultural events, support education and job creation and make our community a better place to live, work and raise future generations. The library seeks to identify community needs and provide programs for all children and adults of the area. Our purpose is to.support our local community library to become a hub of locally driven activities. To this end we sponser a community gardern, have recently completely rebuilt our building for handicapped access and energy efficiency and host many othercommunity activities. We hope to add solar power to offset our fossil fuel use and decrease our electric consumption
