The Cumberland Land Trust is a private, 501c3 non-profit, volunteer organization. The CLT has no paid staff and operates under the direction of an elected Board and collaborates with the Town of Cumberland, the Pawtucket Water Supply Board, the Rhode Island Land Trust Council, among others, dedicated to preserving the local landscape. Our mission is to preserve the natural resources of Cumberland for present and future generations by preserving land for open space within the town of Cumberland. Active since 1989, The Cumberland Land Trust has helped to build a strong program of open space acquisition and preservation within the town of Cumberland. To date, we have protected 641 acres of land acquired through purchase, donation, and conservation easements.
