Our Purpose

The Cornerstone Home & Gardens has been formed to provide a supportive worksite, utilizing researched based programming for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) & other related disabilities.  Founded in 2011, CHG continually seeks to create a unique and safe environment in which people with ASD and young adults with other special needs can have fulfilling experiences and obtain work opportunities within Fairfield County; these areas of work include gardening, building and grounds maintenance, landscape design and public relations.Cornerstone Home & Gardens, Inc. Foundation has made huge strides over the past 10 years, becoming well known in the Ridgefield & Fairfield County, Connecticut areas.   Over the past few years, we have been approved to garden in our own community on a piece of beautiful conservation land (McKeon Farm) where we have established and expanded our educational gardening programs.CHG also partnered with Ridgefield Meals on Wheels and made weekly donations of fresh produce throughout the summer and fall of 2021/2022. Many deliveries of fresh vegetables were also made to Dorothy Day Hospitality House throughout the summer/fall of 2021/2022. We hope to expand this type of successful local programming year-round as well as improve and expand our garden layouts during 2022/2023.
