CONTEMPLATE, Inc. is a 501c3 nonprofit whose efforts include increasing access to farm based therapies for our communities most underserved demographics. We envision a future where we can offer alternative agricultural therapy to create healing and growth for those in our community through hands-on educational programs. Through these programs we can provide our surrounding community the benefit of better access to fresh food while also helping the disadvantaged population form a sense of purpose and pride. Recognizing that each disadvantaged social group has its own hurdles, we have created two programs. Our HarVETs program goal is to provide alternative agricultural therapy for Veterans and First Responders suffering from service related disabilities and other emotional trauma through a multifaceted Farm Based educational mentorship with at risk youth. The youth program uses practical work experience in the farm setting to inspire excitement for learning while fostering respect, responsibility, curiosity, and grit. Both programs will allow use of an incubator for food based startup opportunities.
