Community Action Agency of New Haven (CAANH) is a nonprofit  that provides energy assistance for heat to low income families. Along with energy assistance CAANH offers an eviction and foreclosure prevention program, a SMART Women program with financial education and case management for single mothers; Manage Your Future, a program aiding youth ages 14 - 18 with social development skills, financial literacy, job readioness and employment by design; Weatherization helps eligible customers receive services reducing their energy consumption and optimizing energy efficiency; Senior Citizen prrpgrams include a computer course teaching the basics, and other special events. The Agency offers a Food Pantry, Diaper Bank and provides home visits to eligible individuals with special needs due to their medically disabling condition. Family Services provides case management for families and individuals.
