Our Purpose

Commonwealth Green Low-Income Housing Coalition works on access for low-income communities to clean energy programs and expansion of those opportunities.  This has included both advocacy and systems development for solar leasing and community based solar, expansion of heat pump tech to shelter programs, insulation, LED lighting, and our five year old water/sewer conservation.  We also support advocacy for low-income communities through our voice on the Governo'r Global Warming Solutions Act Implementation Committee and Building sub committee.  Our group of advocates and organizers strive to not only build and link clean energy into low-income housing, but also to advocate for the expansion of these efforts through the aforementioned committees, testimony and postcard parties, statehouse days and other means.
