Our Purpose

Develop a 165-mile nonmotorized recreation system (The Cohos Trail) and promote sustainable, nonmotorized activities in the headwaters region of the Connecticut River of New Hamphsire. It is our intent to expose more low-impact and conservation-minded user groups to the vast forests and mountains of the critical headwaters region of New England's largest river, to promote sensible economic development, to insist on multiple-use forests and pulbic lands, and to ensure that these vast forested tracts and critical watersheds are eventually protected from development.
