Our groups mission objective is to educate college students about climate change and other environmental issues. Our goals include educating university students about:-Climate change, specifically, the real facts, its effects, the timetable, and current efforts.-How to reduce personal carbon footprint, energy use, plastics, etc.-Installing morality, a sense of urgency, and care for the planet and its people-To create an educated body of young climate activists, worried for our collective future.How: By creating a system of required training, in which university students must complete an 30-60 minute long educational, emotional, and informative video full of fellow students, activists, and professionals on the issues. Upon completion, a "quiz" on climate change and the related topics must be done in order to live in on-campus housing . This strategy is employed by university's across the U.S. on other issues, like sexual assault. Why: To educate the coming generation, and create an informed society. Colleges for centuries have been the center for progressive action, where revolutions of society have been born. We hope to create educated young adults, that after seeing our production, are concerned and worried, altering their perspective - we aim to trigger a fight or flight response, and we dont have anywhere to fly to - creating a large number of concerned citizens. After all we only have 12 years left!
