Our Purpose

Clean Ocean Access  (COA) formed in 2006 as a result of access issues to the coastline and poor water quality at the beach.  Our mission quickly solidified to be “Action today so that future generations can continue to enjoy ocean activities”. We have three (3) core programs that have program mission as follows: (1) Eliminating marine debris from the shoreline (CLEAN) and changing human behavior to improve ocean health. (2) Improving water quality (OCEAN) for permanent year-round clean water, healthy watershed and marine ecosystem. (3) Working to protect, preserve and maintain shoreline access (ACCESS) for residents and visitors.
