The Cat Trax bike program was formed for the purpose of making sustainable transportation accessible to Durham students and community members. Active transportation options like biking promote public health, protect air quality, and help reduce carbon emissions. Cat Trax has been shown to be an incredibly beneficial program to UNH students and has encouraged more sustainable forms of travel. Seeing this success, we hope to be able to keep the program running and expand community outreach to reach more members of the Durham community. We feel that Cat Trax is a valuable and beneficial part of the community because it makes  sustainable travel (which is hugely impactful on living an eco-friendly lifestyle) accessible to EVERYONE and creates a fun culture of environmental stewardship.
