We envision a world where all Taíno descendants know who they are and where they come from. To that end, we inspire behavior change towards conscious and ecological living through creative approaches, such as speaker series, community discussions, and online video content. Our free lessons on language, culture, and gardening are accessible to all, helping to honor our Taíno heritage while emphasizing sustainable living practices that respect the environment. Our mission is further amplified by partnerships with local cultural organizations to host speaker series that raise awareness of Taíno Indigenous language, culture, and food ways. These events foster community dialogue and inspire action towards reducing our ecological footprint. By connecting Taíno descendants and local communities to these teachings, we aim to cultivate a deeper sense of identity, environmental stewardship, and a return to the sustainable practices of our ancestors. Through these combined efforts, we hope to guide future generations toward a life rooted in cultural pride and respect for the land, while encouraging them to follow the ancestral wisdom that has sustained our people for centuries.
