Our Purpose

Our purpose is supporting local individuals in active recovery from substance use disorder, during the COVID 19 pandemic. Individuals in active recovery from substance use disorder are being dramatically impacted by the economic repercussions of the COVID 19 pandemic. In addition to becoming unemployed, unable to purchase food and other necessities, losing all sense of self-sufficiency, and the possibility of losing their housing; individuals in recovery from substance use disorder are also suffering from increased anxiety and depression, and are at a greater risk of relapsing. In order to help alleviate some of their stressors and anxieties, the Career Recovery Group is: 1. Purchasing, collecting and delivering food to 30 sober homes and 4 adolescent homes in the Greater Boston area; 2. Connecting eligible, unemployed, sober home residents with supermarkets and food distributors in need of additional staff; and 3. Providing recovery coaching services (by a Certified Recovery Coach and Licensed Drug and Alcohol Counselor).
