Our Purpose

Formed in 2014, the purpose of the Cape Ann Fluoride Action Network is to educate the citizens of Rockport and Gloucester about the violations being made to their right to choice.  Currently sodium fluoride is added to our public water supply.  It is added for the purpose of medicating the citizens which is a violation of the intent of the Federal Safe Drinking Water Act.  We seek to persuade the public and the governing bodies of both communities to discontinue the fluoridation of our public drinking water on the grounds that it violates our right to choice of medical treatment. We support informed personal choice. As such, we are committed to educating the public about the risks of total fluoride intake.  We are also committed to providing our communities with information about accumulated systemic fluoride dangers.
