Our Purpose

to improve the promotion and marketing of local farm and garden products in the Town of Burrillville and surrounding areas, and to stimulate public interest in the consumption of local farm and garden products,. The market will support local farms and local produce, helping to preserve farms and land that supports farming and thus improving the quality of rural life in the Burrillville area.

Summary of Projects

The Market received a grant in 2011 to advertise the market moving to a new location over the winter. The Town of Burrillville has offered to build a permanent pavilion in a local redevelopment project area. This pavilion gives the BFMA a permanent home, running water, and plenty of storage. We will have the potential for night markets, winter markets, and markets in inclement weather. And when it is not in use with our group we will make it available to other town organization.

The group received a grant in 2008 to bring Burrillville Farmers' Market to the next level. Monies were used to launch a marketing and advertising campaign to reach more of the community and show what the Market has to share. In doing so, the group will have a better place to be able to invite more farmers and the community to come and join.
