Our purpose is to conserve land in & adjacent to the Bull Creek & Grassy Brook watersheds of Southeastern Vermont & support public access to the land. Our ideals include: 1) positive impact on land, ecosystems & human community 2) advocacy for wild spaces & wilderness restoration that emphasize our human relationship & stewardship 3) a new voice & model structure for approaching small scale, community-based conservation 4) bridging community interests with resiliency & health of the overall ecosystem 5) mindful conservation to protect from development & community divestment 6) a flexible approach to the needs of the community & the potential of the land 7) a pragmatic approach to conservation that serves all aspects of the community; taking into consideration benefits & possibilities of current legistration & conservation funding incentives.
