The purpose of Brockton's Promise is to create a collaborative network of service providers and public figures who identify gaps in access to services in our community, and then attempt to use their network and passion to fill those gaps for Brockton's unique population. We are modeled after Colin Powell's “America's Promise” and have 5 promises that can be met to create a city where our youth can thrive and have maximum opportunities. The five promise teams are Caring Adults, Healthy Start, Effective Education, Opportunities to Serve, and Safe Places.
