Our Purpose

The role of the Boston BullPen Project is “Crisis Resolution”. The Boston BullPen Project is a non-profit public charity that partners with a diverse range of social service professionals, including groups devoted to caring for homeless individuals and families, veterans, at-risk youth and others in need. Together with these organizations and supporters, we work to identify and fill urgent needs, providing financial support, while fostering a spirit that empowers others to pay it forward. The role of our partner agencies is to vet individuals/families and identify crises that the organizations themselves cannot help with in an immediate fashion and are not a “pass-through” entity. We fill voids outside the mission or budgetary capacity of our partners, providing financial support in rapid fashion, within 24 to 48-hours to the end user directly. We have been able to help people avoid eviction, homelessness, food insecurity and medical crises while maintaining their dignity. Key programs and areas of our support include:
  • Homelessness Prevention
  • Food Insecurity
  • Technology Deficits
  • Relocation Funds
  • Medical Expenses
We fulfill short-term, often one-time requests to support diverse populations, all races and ethnicities: overall fulfilled aid requests were 33 in 2017, 67 in 2018, 191 in 2019, 839 in 2020, 994 in 2021, 1,322 in 2022 and 1,525 in 2023. The Need is Great!https://bostonbullpenproject.org
