At bibi and ni, our mission is to nurture wellness and cultivate strong community connections for individuals and families by providing culturally relevant, ancestrally-based birthkeeping and herbal education and programming. This specific project aims to address the lack of access to outdoor and green learning spaces in early education centers (EECs) and organizations, particularly in working-class, predominantly Black and Brown neighborhoods of Boston, such as Dorchester, Mattapan, and Roxbury as well as similar neighboring towns including Brockton and Lynn. This project seeks to bridge that gap by creating outdoor and green learning spaces in EECs and infant support organizations, providing infants and toddlers with early opportunities for exploration, inquiry, and learning in a garden setting with their families.
