The purpose of the Belknap Association for Natural Resources Conservation (BANRC) is to facilitate the implementation of conservation activities by providing fundraising support to the Belknap County Conservation District (BCCD) and related nonprofit organizations.The Belknap County Conservation District (BCCD)  initiates and supports conservation efforts in Belknap County through collaboration and volunteers.  In 2019 BCCD had over 100 volunteers contributing over 2500 volunteer hours for projects supporting local food harvesting and donation (NH Gleans) and to enhancing fish habitat through soil erosion prevention in streams.  BCCD has 1 paid staff member and a 5 person volunteer Board of Supervisors.  BANRC assists BCCD in its work through fundraising support.  BCCD assists BANRC as a conduit for information sharing with other non-profits as needed.
