Our purpose is to...protect, preserve and educate the public about wildlife habitat and open spaces, primarily Bare Cove Park in Hingham, MA. Recently our group led an advocacy effort to eduction Hingham voters about a development proposal that would have cut down old growth trees in a protected parcel of Bare Cove Park and we succeeding so the vote did not pass at our annual Town Meeting. But there is more work to be done educating people about the importance of the Back River estuary and protecting its uplands, which serve as a key source of the fresh water for this special place, which was designated as the first Area of Critical Environmental Concern in the Boston area and is the only undeveloped estuary in the Boston Basin.  We really could use your support as we use all our fundraising on wetland and forester experts to help us protect this land and we'd also like to focus on  environmental stewardship for and continued public education about the uniqueness of the area. https://barecovepreservation.org/
