to bring community members together to work for student, community and environmental health. Our group strives to increase student and community awareness of local foods and local farms. We hope to strengthen our local food system by connecting kids and their families to a healthy and sustainable food cycle. We work to improve access for all to healthy local food. Because parents have huge influence on student health and access to healthy food, we aim to increase parent and community involvement in food based learning opportunities. The school garden and composting projects serve as daily access points to experiential learning opportunities to improve human health , foster academic success, highlight career opportunities in agriculture and support a healthy local ecology.
