Our purpose is to... remind moms that they have a community, even when they feel alone.April of 2021 I was on maternity leave along with the 2 other co- founders of the group when we found ourselves going through the same thing... a seemingly joyful time as new moms left us feeling more alone than ever. We finally arranged to get out the house alone with our newborns for a much needed bite to eat and glass of wine and bonded beyond belief! We soon realized we couldn't be the only mothers feeling this way, we founded " The Bad Moms of Boston" from there. Why Bad moms? Well, we are big on reminding moms you are still YOU! so yes you can have a drink, you can enjoy going out and living a guilt free life outside of motherhood. Society has made it seem like life should stop after kids and sorry to say thats a lie! -- so hey if that makes us "bad moms' then so be it. Our social group for moms, has since put together over 20 events for moms and children and emassed a following of over 1600 moms in the Boston area. We are building community for moms, introducing kids to new friends and supporting small businesses in the process! Our goal before 2024 is to become a nonprofit, if selected we will use the funding to apply for our license and throw an end of year holiday party/ toy drive for the kids of the community. thank you so much for the consideration
