We are a group of Asian youth and young people across the Massachusetts Commonwealth looking to take action in response to the increasing racism against the Asian diasporic community. We hope to mobilize Asian identifying youth to amplify the work of organizations in the Greater Boston area, and address the needs of Asian diaspora across the Commonwealth. With Asians as the fastest-growing racial group in Boston (one in ten Boston residents are Asian), this project’s urgency stems from the rise of overt anti-Asian violence. This includes the Atlanta shooting in March 2021 of six Asian women and over 9,000 instances of anti-Asian violence reported nationally since the start of the pandemic.
