Our Purpose

Aroostook County 4-H is a positive youth development program that focuses on education through hands-on learning experiences. Our program is dedicated to providing local youth with opportunities to explore their interests, develop leadership skills, and contribute to their communities. We focus on providing engaging and meaningful programs, events and activities to any County youth from age 5-18 in the areas of: STEM & STEAM, Civic Engagement & Leadership, Agriculture & Food systems/security, and Healthy LivingAroostook County is the largest and most rural county in Maine and as such our youth experience a significant disadvantage in accessing quality programming.  The goal of Aroostook 4-H is to see youth involved in our program thrive in their academic and vocational success, wellbeing, economic stability or employment, and civic responsibility.
