Our Purpose

Our purpose is to provide safe, accessible opportunities for youth, families, and community members to participate in water skiing, outdoor recreation, leadership development, and community service while being responsible stewards of Hamilton Reservoir.Aqua Riders of Holland is a volunteer-run nonprofit that brings people together through water skiing and outdoor recreation. Our programs include youth and adult water ski instruction, free Learn-to-Ski opportunities, adaptive skiing for individuals with disabilities, team practices, leadership opportunities through our Junior Board, and free public water ski shows.Because our programs depend directly on Hamilton Reservoir, protecting the lake and shoreline is essential to our long-term mission. Our goal is to provide outdoor recreation today while preserving a safe, healthy waterfront for future participants and the community.Erosion along our beachfront threatens that goal. Addressing it through shoreline stabilization, improved landscaping, and environmentally responsible practices will help reduce sediment and runoff entering the lake while preserving the waterfront used by our programs.Ultimately, we want young people to develop a lifelong connection to outdoor recreation, leadership, service, and responsible stewardship of the natural resources that make these opportunities possible.
