ANTI STARVING ARTIST is building a bright and equitable future for creative workers. Our mission is to debunk the stereotype of the starving artist and end the notion that artists must suffer for their work.The Artist Potluck & Clothing Swap is a monthly New Haven-based initiative made to increase access to hot meals, work appropriate clothing, and networking opportunities for low income artists in Connecticut.As we continue to grow, our ultimate goal is to make sure no artist starves, and to:

• Provide safe housing for local artists (transform New Haven, CT into a sanctuary for creative workers)
• Stock artists' kitchens with wholesome, nutritious foods (full bellies despite low budgets)
• Introduce artists to existing community assets and resources for basic needs (where we fall short, our neighborhood initiatives stand tall)
• Offer relief for urgent situations related to financial instability
