Amos Lake Association Inc
Our Purpose
to assist landowners and all other interested citizens in an educational role to maintain, protect and enhance the water quality of Amos Lake, its watershed, and waterways. To initiate, implement and present to governing authorities those recommendations which will endeavor to protect and preserve Amos Lake, its watershed, and waterways. Amos Lake is an important economic, recreational and aesthetic resource, to the people and Town of Preston, therefor it is vital that water quality be protected in order to preserve both usable water, aquatic habitat and recreational opportunities. Since 2009 we have developed partnerships with Eastern Connecticut Conservation District, The Last Green Valley, and Town of Preston. In 2011 we became a volunteer-based nonprofit. Our accomplishments include free soil testing days, rain barrel workshops, groundwater, well water, septic maintenance, and Control of Variable Water Milfoil outreach.
