The King St. neighborhood is one of the poorest and most ethnically diverse areas in Vermont. The Champlain parkway will dramatically increase traffic through this heavily populated neighborhood, with resulting pollution, safety issues, dust, and noise. The Champlain parkway would split the neighborhood in half.
