We represent two public upper elementary schools.  Our purpose for this grant request is to sustain learning gardens that we have been using contiuously since 2016 to integrate curriculum in a wide variety of disciplines, nutrition, environmentalism and community engagement.  The garden lessons bring academic principles and concepts to life, providing real-life applicability that engages even hard-to-reach students.  100% of our student body participates in planting, nurturing, harvesting, and delivering food to the cafeteria, where it is incorporated into our food service program.
