Our purpose is to create a branch of Window Dressers to provide thermal inserts to individuals in the towns of South Royalton,  Royalton, Tunbridge, Bethel, Rochester, Randolph, Braintree, and Brookfield, VT. Window Dressers is an organization that manufactures thermal inserts for windows. These inserts not only reduce community members' heating bills but also reduce the amount of CO2 released from heating. Our mission is to work in collaboration with the local community in the towns listed above to excecute a build in October and provide as many people as many inserts. During the build we will collaborate with community members as they participate in the buliding process, rooting innovation. We also plan to partner with other intra town organizations to get the word out and foster addittional collaboration. The governance structure of our organizaation is also collaborative and enforces the idea of shifting power in decision making. We value equity in participation and plan on reaching out to formally marginalized members in the communities listed above. We not only want to assist individuals' with their heating bills but we are also dedicated to a just energy transition and doing what we can to lower the environmental impact of heating, as we realize it is a big necessity in New England.
