Sovereign Land Trust works to advance land access, stewardship, and economic empowerment for BIPOC communities. Founded to address systemic inequities in land ownership and environmental access, SLT’s mission is to create equitable opportunities for BIPOC individuals to access and protect land, ensuring long-term community-led governance. Our key activities include land acquisition, agricultural education, environmental stewardship, and community-led conservation. Through culturally relevant training programs in regenerative farming, agroecology, and environmental restoration, SLT empowers emerging farmers and conservationists with the knowledge and skills needed to build a more sustainable and inclusive future. Collaborating with Indigenous partners and local conservation leaders, SLT works to address climate change, restore ecosystems, and advocate for policies that increase land access and environmental justice for BIPOC communities.
