Our purpose is to expand access to carpentry and the trades by creating an inclusive learning space that brings together women, people of color, gender non-conforming and LGBTQ+ individuals, and participants of diverse ages and abilities. We are committed to fostering a safe, collaborative environment where participants can build carpentry skills and gain confidence using power tools. Through our workshops, we connect learners with tradespeople and mentors to support skill development, confidence, and community. Since 2020, we have delivered 29  workshops featuring a range of skills, instructors, and tools. In 2026, we are prioritizing broader access to trades education by diversifying our outreach and advertising strategies and expanding accommodations, including services such as language interpretation.There is a significant labor shortage in the trades and carpentry skills are critical for community resilience.
