Sankofa Learning Center is high-quality early childhood program that uses Montessori pedagogy as a tool and is a healing hub for the community.  Sankofa Learning Center is currently a family day care, but before that we were a small homeschooling collective. The Grassroots funds supported our early work granting us funds to do some deep visioining work with our advisory collective. We are preparing to expand to an early learning center in the next couple of months to serve more children and families! The overall goal at Sankofa Learning Center is to provide a high-quality early education for our youngest community members. Black and Brown children deserve a joyful and thoughtful learning experience. We provide a unique opportunity as we use African-centered practices and the Montessori curriculum.
