Our Purpose

At Hiland Hall Gardens, we've dubbed our efforts "Cultivating Community: Transforming Hiland Hall Garden." This initiative is a continuous journey to revitalize a cherished community garden, infusing it with fresh purpose and vitality. Our primary aims are to rejuvenate the garden into a stunning and tranquil haven for all, to boost its potential for hosting educational workshops, community gatherings, and local food cultivation, and to foster a deeper understanding of environmental care and sustainability through hands-on gardening and learning experiences. Our vision for the gardens centers on inspiring the younger generation to embrace healthy eating habits and equipping them with the skills to grow their own nutritious, fresh produce. Beyond that, we’re committed to supporting those in our community who face food insecurity by sharing our harvest. Plus, some of the garden’s bounty finds its way into the kitchen, where students whip up wholesome recipes as part of the fun.
