Our Purpose

to provide assistance to Sudanese, Congolese and other African refugee and immigrant ethnic communities in greater Boston and the North Shore areas of Revere, Chelsea and Lynn.

Summary of Projects

The groups received a grant in 2011 to staff the Environmentally Just Food Production and Access to Healthy Food project.

The groups received a grant through the Boston Grants Initiative in 2010 to provide participants in the Project a source of fresh fruits and vegetables that they may not otherwise have access to and to provide streets relief, skill development, food security and economic savings and assist participants to culturally appropriate food by finding land to garden with water access and to reach agreement with the landlord for use of the premises.
