Our purpose is to found a Tool Library in Somerville.  A tool library functions like a traditional library, but it lends out tools instead of books.  The Somerville Tool Library will be housed in Parts and Crafts, a storefront family hackerspace in Somerville.  It will offer memberships to the entire community on a sliding scale.Parts and Crafts already offers educational and afterschool programs for kids in electronics, engineering, compuing and woodworking.  The Tool Library will lend out tools for household projects for parents, as well as items related to the Parts and Crafts workshop offerings.
