Our Purpose

Our purpose is to engage all communities within the Saxtons River Watershed to work together towards greater watershed-wide water quality and flood resiliency. We were formed as part of a grant by Vermont Community Foundation's High Meadows Fund in 2015 to promote watershed awareness on the community-wide and municipal levels and to work towards tangible solutions. We completed 1200 feet of riparian buffer plantings with native trees and created an educational center. At the center of the educational center is a stream table, a table-sized model of a river. With the Stream Table, we continue to promote watershed literacy and activism within the region.
